We have a sincere commitment to giving responsibility to our designers and providing opportunities for mentorship and career growth.Essential Roles and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Design and Technical Production (80-90%)<ul><li>Collaborate with project managers and team members on a variety of project types and scales.</li><li>Assist project teams with development of landscape plans through all phases of work including site inventory, concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.</li><li>Prepare illustrative design plans and 3D renderings as needed.</li><li>Assist teams in preparing construction cost estimates.</li><li>Assist teams in preparing specifications.</li><li>Communicate with internal engineering teams and other disciplines as directed by project manager.</li><li>Communicate with external vendors throughout the design process.</li><li>Participate in construction administration responsibilities.</li><li>Act as an advocate for landscape architecture at Timmons Group.</li></ul>Project and Task Management (10-15%)<ul><li>Assist in managing internal project tasks led by civil engineering teams that include landscape design.</li><li>Provide QA/QC from concept to documentation.</li><li>Work closely with project managers to maintain project deadlines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and communicate this information to team members.</li><li>Act as a mentor for design staff and advocate for landscape architecture at Timmons Group.</li></ul>Administrative Management and Training (10-15%)<ul><li>Attend weekly meetings to coordinate projects and workplans.</li><li>Attend monthly design team meetings and act as a design resource for projects and department standards.</li><li>Develop proposals and development of scope of work as needed.</li><li>Engage in training and professional development opportunities.</li></ul>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program is preferred but a non-accredited degree in landscape architecture may be considered.</li><li>2-8 years’ experience in landscape architecture is preferred.</li><li>Professional registration or on track to receive is preferred.</li><li>Team player with excellent design, graphic, and communication skills.</li><li>Creative, open-minded, and organized.</li><li>Knowledge of plants and experience in developing landscape plans.</li><li>Experience in producing high-quality concept drawings and presentations.</li><li>Experience in producing construction documentation drawings.</li><li>Experience in construction administration and specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and budgets.</li><li>Experience with both in-office and remote collaboration.</li><li>Experience in design software including AutoCAD, Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and 3D modeling programs.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Suite applications, BlueBeam PDF, and construction management software(s).</li><li>LEED or SITES Accreditation is preferred but not required.</li></ul>
