About the teamThe Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) team serves as the vital bridge between Satellite Engineering and our Pilot Plant. We guarantee that the satellites we design can be produced using repeatable, scalable processes. We are the nexus between design and manufacturing, working under tight deadlines to ensure rapid production feasibility. About the InternshipAs a Software-AIT Intern, you won't just be writing code; you will be the architect of the environment where hardware meets software. You will develop the Python-based tools and frameworks required to validate our satellite prototypes and production units. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Hardware Interface Development: Develop Python tools to interface with satellite subsystems via protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.</li><li>Test Automation: Assist in creating automated test sequences for complex electronic circuits and satellite prototypes.</li><li>System Integration: Support the setup and maintenance of physical test benches, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.</li><li>Framework Contribution: Collaborate on building scalable software frameworks used by the production team to monitor satellite health.</li><li>Quality Assurance: Help oversee the reliability of test solutions to ensure they provide accurate "Pass/Fail" feedback in a manufacturing setting.</li></ul> About you Required/Desirable skills: <ul><li>Python Proficiency: Strong ability to use Python for automation, data processing, or hardware control.</li><li>Electronics Fundamentals: Deep understanding of complex electronic circuits and the ability to read schematics.</li><li>Hardware Interfacing: Experience working with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.</li><li>Embedded Foundations: Familiarity with C and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or Linux.</li><li>Experience with Docker/containers for deploying test environments.</li><li>Version control using Git.</li><li>Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Osciloscopes, Multimeters, etc.).</li></ul>Location<ul><li>Montevideo, Uruguay.</li></ul> Diversity Commitment  Satellogic values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer.
