Role

The role of the Materials Coordinator is to work with the Materials Manager to oversee Earth Angel’s “Eco Depot” service offering - the rental and management of zero waste equipment kits and promotion of sustainable products across all EA markets. Additionally, the Materials Coordinator’s secondary responsibility is supporting the Materials Manager with material recovery efforts (donations and asset repurposing) where needed. 



Responsibilities

Equipment Management

  • Manage Eco Depot NYC - the physical space that houses Earth Angel equipment/products, as well as its digital inventory
  • Remotely manage Eco Depot inventory in ATL and LA, and other future Earth Angel markets
  • Monitor stock of Earth Angel equipment and supplies and place orders accordingly
  • Receive all new gear orders and unpack/label/inventory and store appropriately
  • Keep all Eco Depot storage spaces organized, all equipment clean and all inventories accurate
  • Manage and update all EA gear related tools and resources
  • Support Eco Coordinators and Eco PAs with checking out/checking in all rental gear
  • Maintain and develop vendor relations for all EA gear and products
  • Workshop/build new gear opportunities

Material Recovery 

  • Support Materials Manager with overseeing material recovery and responsible asset disposal for our current production clients, including the facilitation of material pick-ups.
  • Support Materials Manager with Good Riddance (storage clear out) clients

Administrative

  • Utilize Earth Angel time tracking system to log all billable and non-billable hours worked
  • Attend weekly meetings with the entire Earth Angel staff to provide a thorough update on your progress with each production, and workshop issues
  • Project manage each month and week to ensure client priorities are met and forecast any supply orders
  • Attend weekly team meetings with your Supervisor to discuss your project management updates and any necessary priority shifts
  • Provide feedback and input on the development of new EA tools and resources

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Drivers license and ability to drive at least a cargo van
  • Own personal vehicle 
  • Experience working with inventory management - at least one year
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25-50 lbs regularly/occasionally
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Adaptable to constantly changing circumstances
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Experience with Google Suite (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Calendars)
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and zero waste efforts
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to document processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Collaborative and confident attitude with strong customer service approach to work
  • Tech savvy and comfortable working in phone-based applications 
  • Ability to time manage and stay within a budget

Recommended

  • Comfortable with manual labor, using power tools
  • Environmental or zero waste training/experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness and desire to grow within the company
  • Familiarity with database management



Details

Full time, hourly, non-exempt, hybrid (both remote & on site)

Location: New York City, NY

Hours: 9am - 6pm ET

 

PTO: Up to 40 hours accrued PTO in your first year plus paid holidays

Other: Your personal laptop and cell phone will be used in this role. You will be provided with a company tablet, EZ Pass, and reimbursed for mileage/fuel.
