Job Description

CleanChoice Energy is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Specialist in Marketing
Automation to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity if you are passionate about executing
and optimizing email and SMS campaigns to drive business growth & value, and making it easy
for consumers to choose 100% clean electricity to make a positive impact on the environment.
CleanChoice is a fast-growing certified B Corporation, whose mission is to transform the U.S.
electricity market and make clean energy available to everyone. This position will report to the
Senior Manager, Email Marketing.


Key Accountabilities:
● Achieve marketing objectives and key results to grow customer count and lifetime value
by developing and optimizing a test and learn email and SMS marketing automation
program
● Grow the CleanChoice Energy customer base through optimized campaigns over email,
SMS / text, and other channels through Braze, our marketing automation platform
● Develop a deep understanding of the CleanChoice Energy user journey from email lead
to clean energy customer and ensure that the right content is delivered on the right
channel to maximize conversion


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Understand CleanChoice Energy’s core audience personas and lifecycle stages to
deliver automated campaigns to the right prospect at the right time and optimize user
journey touchpoints
● Create personalized automated campaigns using dynamic content and liquid code.
Ensure messaging and data are QA’ed and successfully executed
● Manage the end-to-end production of email and SMS marketing campaigns—build
emails using HTML / CSS, set up A/B tests, QA, and send through Braze
● Develop email and SMS copy and creative and secure necessary approvals
● Assist in the development and execution of A/B and multivariate tests to optimize and
grow customer count, improve conversion, and increase customer lifetime value for high
value automated campaigns
● Measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance, channel metrics, and digital
analytics to make actionable recommendations and inform the development of new tests
● Work with Email and MarTech team colleagues to maintain cross-channel marketing and
testing calendars and implement plans according to goals
● Work collaboratively across the Marketing, Data Science, Product, Technology and
Operations teams to develop strong, productive relationships with coworkers
● Stay current on and experiment with new digital and direct response marketing tactics to
increase conversions, CLTV, and make it easy for customers to support clean energy
● Gain an understanding of retail electricity, clean energy, and community solar markets
● Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
● You have 2-4 years of experience in a relevant role including marketing automation,
digital, email, growth, or lifecycle marketing. Experience with SMS marketing is a plus
● Familiarity with building and modifying action-based campaigns and customer lifecycle
journeys
● Demonstrated experience driving business value and executing multi-channel marketing
campaigns through email, SMS, and/or other digital channels in an enterprise ESP or
Marketing Automation Platform like Braze, SFMC, Marketo, or similar
● You make data-driven decisions, have a proven track record for running tests and
optimizing campaigns, and clearly communicate results and learnings
● You have strong creative and copywriting skills and can clearly communicate product
benefits and create customer experiences that make an impact
● You’re proactive, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage
multiple tasks and projects with varying schedules simultaneously
● You work well cross-functionally with internal and external teams
● You have excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent


Bonus Points For:
● Experience with Braze Marketing Automation Platform
● Ability to translate user journey and digital data insights into action
● Familiarity with Agile workflow, JIRA, Monday.com, or other work management tools
● Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools like Domo
● Knowledge of email and SMS best practices to maximize deliverability and conversions
● Experience with Salesforce CRM
● Familiarity with Google Analytics to track conversion and measure campaign ROI/ROAS
● You have strong creative and copywriting skills and can clearly communicate product
benefits and create customer experiences that make an impact
● Experience in clean energy, solar, or utility categories
● Passion to make the world a better place through 100% clean electricity and protecting
the environment for future generations
