What you will doThis position will develop and implement the engineering and maintenance strategies to improve quality, production and reduce downtime and cost for the plant this position will directly manage 5-6 manufacturing engineers. This will be onsite 5 days a week. Overtime will be expected if needed. How you will do it<ul><li>Support and develop department or projects / activities with good engineering direction. Take part or facilitate the team Lean strategies and methodologies and/or Six Sigma activities.</li><li>Develop, support, cost estimate, deliver and document all engineering changes.</li><li>Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process &amp; systems</li><li>Implement process changes on existing equipment, and direct the development and installation of production expansion equipment.</li><li>Ensure adequate training for existing and new employees on PLC troubleshooting and making program modifications utilizing PLC software.</li><li>Position will require flexibility to support a 24/7 operation. </li></ul> What we look forRequired<ul><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment </li><li>BSEE/BSME or related engineering bachelor level degree from accredited college or university is required.</li><li>5 or more years experience in manufacturing environment or a related role (preference is 8 or more).</li><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Working knowledge and experience w/ PLC programming.</li></ul> Preferred<ul><li>Experience with process that are in plastic injection molding, robotics, and assembly.</li></ul> Oconee, SC- Components PlantOur fully integrated plant in West Union, South Carolina produces all the parts that go into batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks.
