Job Description

If so, we invite you to apply to GreenBiz Group’s Business Development Associate position. We’re looking for someone to support the sales team as we expand into new markets, launch new products and cultivate a rapidly growing list of corporate partners and sponsors.

Overall compensation (base salary + discretionary bonus or commission if sales) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications within the following range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus health and wellness benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound email prospecting campaigns and account research to target, qualify and schedule calls for the sales and leadership team 
  • Manage sales collateral including writing product descriptions, proposal language and sales inventory
  • Work with the creative team to develop sales collateral
  • Track and analyze competitive market share and industry events
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify and schedule calls with prospects 
  • Maintain and manage Salesforce.com activities including updating contacts, accounts, opportunities, leads and developing reports
  • Directly sell digital and event sponsorship products to marketing, communications and sustainability leaders at small/mid-sized companies
  • Support the Account Executive team in selling to their accounts which primarily consist of large companies
  • Coordinate closely with marketing, customer success, content and other related teams

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in sales, marketing, customer success or related role
  • Tech-savvy and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about the mission of GreenBiz which aims to build and empower communities to confront the threats of climate change
  • Resourceful, self-starter who is eager to prospect new sales opportunities, nurture leads and close business
  • Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask 
  • Customer centric with an understanding of customer objectives
  • BA or equivalent preferred
