Lab Technician, Mechanical Prototyping

Job Brief 

We are looking for a Lab Technician to support our Electrochemistry team in the mechanical prototyping area. We will provide you with on-the-job training in areas specific to our products and equipment. The successful candidate will get hands-on experience and be able to make an impact in Twelve’s mission to address climate change!

What you will do

• Operate test equipment and work with compressed gasses
• Perform material inspection by metrology and provide summary reports
• Organize the lab and maintain inventory
• Communicate lab or test equipment issues to the team
• Conduct cleaning and maintenance of lab hardware

Who you are

Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of skill, dedication and ability to learn. A stand-out candidate would show general technical abilities, including but not limited to the following areas:

• Familiarity with hardware and power tools (for example vises and power drills)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize a list of tasks
• Strong desire and curiosity to learn new things
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice to haves 

• Experience with plumbing, electrical, or home improvement projects and an ability to troubleshoot basic issues
• Prior experience in a laboratory environment
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical and chemical safety protocols
• Experience with crane operation
