Relief Group Lead - Packhouse - Morehead, KY

About the Role:

As a Relief Packhouse Group Lead your daily responsibilities will include assisting the operation team in maintaining food safety, monitoring of GMP (good manufacturing practice) compliance, and conducting training during the absence of the normal Group Lead.  Relief Group Leads must demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills to lead all Crop Care Specialists and ensure that tasks are performed to meet minimum standard and minimum quality requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the Group Lead position when other Group Leads are out of the office.
• Lead a team of Packhouse Specialist and their daily routine while promoting a positive work atmosphere and building team spirit.
• Facilitate initial trainings for new hires, including but not limited to, onboarding training and continuous skills development training. 
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing coaching and training as needed to ensure productivity, quality and safety standards are met or exceeded.
• Partner with Food and Environmental safety leaders to ensure hygiene, cleanliness, pest, disease, and equipment protocols are adhered to by all team members.
• Maintain a frequent and open dialogue with HR regarding coaching of their team members.
• Work with Supervisors to execute the labor schedule and proper management plan

Eligibility:

• Been in your current position for at least 90 days with zero corrective actions related to performance or attendance

What We’re Looking For:

• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• 1+ years' experience leading individuals working on production lines; Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to achieve quality standards
• Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and attention to details
• Effective verbal and written communication
• MS Office suite intermediate level proficiency
• Ability to work with/manage 15+ team members
