Boundary Stone Partners (BSP) is seeking a highly motivated Grant Writer to join our fast-growing team of climate, clean energy, mobility, and space experts in Washington, D.C. This position is hybrid, with the expectation of being in the DC office approximately three days a week.

About The Role

 

The Grant Writer will serve as a lead writer for BSP’s team in areas of clean energy, climate change, environmental sustainability, mobility, etc. This position will collaborate with team members who work directly with leading companies, non-profits, trade associations, and financial institutions. Core responsibilities include:

 

  • Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements
  • Lead the development and writing of applications for federal financing and funding opportunities
  • Prepares proposals/applications by determining concept, gathering, and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals
  • Meets proposal/application deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal
  • Communicate and interact directly with clients on application process and collaborate with team members on client needs
  • Ensure compliance with application terms and requirements


About You

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, which may include academia
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to competently and efficiently manage multiple projects
  • Deadline oriented high-level writer, with proven technical documentation skills
  • Highly organized, strategic thinker with polished oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to understand and execute complex instructions
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage sensitive and potentially confidential material with professional standard of discretion, with both internal and external audiences
  • Exceptional research skills
  • Thrive under pressure and can balance long and short-term priorities to deliver results
  • Resourceful and entrepreneurial, roll-up your sleeves, and not afraid to think outside the box
  • Want to work with a team who values collegiality and a sense of humor
