As the Senior Analyst supporting the Global Operations function at Zoomo, you'll be ensuring we have the right data-driven visibility and insights into operational activities across all our markets.

As part of a rapidly growing function and company, you will be the most Senior Analyst within the Global Operations team, and have a pivotal role in setting the Central and Regional Operations teams up for success and scale through the creation and management of data reports, tools and insights across our core operational functions. You’ll work with multiple key cross-functional stakeholders and the C-suite to provide data that supports a wide variety of business objectives.

This role would be ideally suited for an experienced analyst with at least 3-4 years experience looking to gain more leadership responsibilities and the opportunity to build out a critical business function from the ground up, in a rapidly growing startup. You will work in close collaboration with both the Global Operations leadership and Data and Analytics teams to shape Zoomo’s data strategy.


What you'll be doing!

  • Rolling your sleeves up to help build our core business performance reporting suite from the ground up
  • Maintaining reports for business performance cadences that help drive momentum toward our goals and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring our reporting is accessible and always a reflection of what's happening in the physical world by managing quality assurance and dashboard deployments for our Ops Analytics team
  • Bringing Zoomo’s data to life by creating stories that convey what the data tell us about our customer and operational realities
  • Play a leadership role for our team of Junior Analysts via technical mentorship and capacity planning (as part of a fortnightly sprint cycle)
  • Liaising closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support data requests and collect feedback for reporting development

Requirements

Technical Skills and Experience

  • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in data or analytics role
  • An advanced understanding of SQL and Tableau (or other transferable BI software) is a must have (experience with Google Big Query or other cloud based technologies is highly favourable)
  • An operational mindset - you’ve worked in operations before and you understand how processes in the real world can influence data and vice-versa
  • You have a strong understanding of data best practice, including how data should be structured, cleaned, validated and communicated
  • You can apply data quality frameworks and technical expertise to the team’s work to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our data processes
  • Experience with Python, or R+ would be an advantage
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant field such as data science, information management systems, analytics with demonstrated understanding of statistics would be an advantage
  • Prior experience with agile project management and sprint planning would be an advantage
