Job Description

Impossible Foods was founded to transform the global food system and reduce the impact of climate change by making the world’s most delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meat, fish, and dairy — from plants.
Through the revolutionary work of our world-class R&D team, we’re inventing efficient, sustainable ways to transform ingredients from plants into meat, fish, and dairy foods that deliver all the pleasures and nutritional benefits consumers demand, without the negative environmental or public health impact.
Our flagship product, Impossible™ Burger, uses 96% less land, 87% less water and generates 89% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional beef from cows. And the burger is just the beginning. We’re working on recreating every animal product, from chicken to fish, with plant-based ingredients that are vastly better for people and the planet.
Impossible Foods has experienced spectacular growth over the last few years, and we continue to lead all aspects of the plant-based revolution – from discovery and innovation to commercial production and consumer education. We’re building an amazing team of brilliant, collaborative, mission-driven individuals who take pride in using their diverse skills to contribute to a better world. Our core values include leading with heart, thinking like scientists, and doing the right thing, and our employees embody these attributes in their work every day.
Want to join the movement? You can help us solve the most urgent, important challenge facing the world today (and have fun doing it). Check out our job opening below:
We are looking for a Supply Planning Manager with excellent modeling, analytical, and communication skills to join our Supply Planning team. This individual will be responsible for planning a critical raw material, heme, and creating complex business strategies and presentations to assist leadership with long-term decision-making. They will also lead high-impact cross-functional projects to increase data transparency on heme production, inventory health, quality, and ultimately a plan of record. In addition to heme planning, this individual will be managing finished goods planning and overall helping the company continue to scale as we launch new SKUs, enter new countries, and build out our operations.

You Will

  • Create a heme plan of record to increase data transparency for the organization to view heme production attainment, inventory health, and long-term consensus decisions
  • Lead high-impact heme capacity strategy meetings to align the exec team on decisions
  • Build a dynamic weekly heme production model to allow “what-if” scenario modeling over a long-term planning horizon vs variable demand plans
  • Work cross-functionally with the materials management team on heme inventory data integrity, lot allocation by site, and clear-to-builds to support the finished goods supply planning function
  • Manage fermentation co-manufacturer relationships and build a production attainment tracking process
  • Build finished goods capacity and supply planning models to support a range of demand plan scenarios, taking into consideration manufacturing parameters and costs for low, medium, and high demand outcomes
  • Work closely with internal and external finished goods production plants to prepare short and long-term production plans
  • Collaboratively implement a new o9 planning system
  • Be a key partner to continuously improve the end-to-end S&OP planning process and presentation

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar field
  • 7+ years of experience in planning/operations (supply planning strongly preferred, additional demand, inventory, and/or production planning a plus)
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills required
  • Superb analytical and modeling skills required
  • Proficiency with planning systems (o9, other) and ERP (SAP, other) preferred
  • Communication skills to present at all levels of the organization (verbal, written, and slides)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, data-driven environment
  • Independently lead projects with an extreme bias for action and refusal to accept constraints
