Job Description

Role: Product Manager - Developer Experience

Location: London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Lisbon (including hybrid)

Salary: £55k - £75k

We want to power a world where net-zero is within everyone’s reach, by building the platform that will accelerate a sustainable, affordable and resilient energy transition. It’s a huge challenge, but often the toughest problems are the most rewarding to solve.

Since launching in 2019, Kaluza’s technology has been empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve millions of customers.

From revolutionising billing to smart electric vehicle charging, our real-time cloud platforms transform supplier operations, reducing cost to serve and boosting engagement. And most importantly, they enable suppliers' customers to drive decarbonisation with smart, low carbon technologies.

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

We’re looking for a technically-minded, end-user focussed Product Manager to join our Developer Experience squad.

As companies grow in size, communication costs grow quadratically as software and culture becomes increasingly more fragmented and complex. This means we won’t be able to scale Kaluza and our engineering teams without massively slowing down the speed of delivery - this is where the Developer Experience squad comes in.

Our mission is to find ways to increase the productivity of our engineers and teams, thereby reducing complexity and toil across the business.

You’ll love this role if you enjoy a hefty challenge and solving complex problems. Developer Experience will play a critical part in the success of Kaluza by enabling us to scale and meet our ambitious company goals efficiently. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Product Manager.

We’re looking for someone who has a platform product mindset to evolve our current capabilities and deliver effective solutions as we scale and grow. You’ll embrace challenging how things are done currently and have a passion for making Kaluza the most forward-thinking and fulfilling place for engineers to work.

The products and tools owned by these teams will be used by product teams across Kaluza. You’ll need excellent communication skills, the ability to ruthlessly prioritise and be able to manage and plan with a variety of stakeholders with varying needs.

You will be responsible for...

  • Leading and motivating your product team to define and execute on goals or OKRs.
  • Working with your product team to define your product roadmap.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to form your product backlog.
  • Being a leader and working with colleagues across the organisation to drive the platform forward towards Kaluza’s vision.
  • Reducing operational costs for Kaluza by spotting opportunities to improve developer productivity
  • Experimenting, designing and building things to improve productivity, such as, tools, templates, libraries and guidance
  • Defining, shaping and delivering live solutions for our teams.
  • You’ll strive to implement a lean, data-led approach to product development.

We'd love to hear from you if you're...

  • A Product Manager with a technical or platform background (preferable but not essential)
  • Experienced in working in an agile environment
  • Enjoying working day to day with engineers solving complex challenges
  • Are outcome focussed and data-driven individual
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity that comes from working in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen to use analytical and quantitative skills, able to cut through opinions with data
  • Excited by challenging the status quo

You'll love working with us if you…

  • Are passionate about working in a dynamic environment and responding to change
  • Find new concepts easy to understand, and show the tenacity to keep asking until clarity is achieved
  • Love sharing your skills and experiences with colleagues
  • Know your strengths, yet recognise there's always more to learn from others
  • Build bridges with people across the organisation
