Tomorrow.io’s Space & Sensors team is responsible for the development of spacecraft and constellations in support of Tomorrow.io’s Operation Tomorrow Space effort. The ultimate goal of Operation Tomorrow Space is to collect and downlink real-time weather data to be integrated seamlessly into Tomorrow.io’s existing forecasting and modeling systems. Global weather coverage will not only revolutionize global weather intelligence, but will also provide lifesaving weather information to 5 billion people across the globe who currently don’t have access to radar coverage.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer who will support the development of a unique satellite variant within Tomorrow.io’s greater satellite constellation architecture. This role spans the full breadth of a spacecraft development program including initial concept design, detailed spacecraft subsystem analysis, and management of subcontractors. We are launching our first satellites soon, with many future constellation launches planned for 2024 and beyond. Anticipated salary range is $140K-$160K, subject to local market and a candidate’s skills and experience. Health, leave and other benefits included.
