E-Commerce Manager

We are building a multi-vendor marketplace for energy efficient and green construction products and materials to help architects, engineers and contractors specify and source the solutions they need to help achieve our 2050 decarbonization goals.

The Role

Manage the day-to-day operations of a multi-vendor marketplace. Responsibilities include:

- communicating with marketplace vendors to maintain and update product and storefront pages on the marketplace, including detailed technical specifications, ratings, certifications, lead times, shipping options and prices

- overseeing all orders, including custom quote requests and freight calculations, to ensure every order is received, processed, and fulfilled smoothly

- working directly with our web developers to implement updates and fix bugs

- other tasks related to the business operations of the marketplace website, including basic cash flow, sales tax, and commission calculations

The Skills

- Proficiency with the backend and frontend management of e-commerce websites

- Basic graphic design skills (formatting product photos and videos for optimal resolutions and dimensions, working with templates and themes to achieve a consistent style throughout the site)

- Familiarity with WordPress/WooCommerce or similar e-commerce platforms essential

- Familiarity with multi-vendor marketplace platforms a major bonus

- Experience with Stripe, QuickBooks, and related bookkeeping software

- Facility with MailChimp and managing social media accounts a bonus

- Experience with residential or commercial construction, and PassiveHouse or energy efficient construction a major bonus
