Location: London, Edinburgh or Bristol (including hybrid)

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

Kaluza Finance - Business Planning

You’ll be joining the Kaluza Finance, Legal and Risk squad, which supports the business through a broad range of professional and support services.  Specifically, this role sits within the business planning arm of the finance team.  Business planning is responsible for a wide range of planning activities and helping set the overall company strategy.  This means we work closely with a wide range of different areas of the business, helping to set the path for how we achieve our wider company goals and ultimately help revolutionise and decarbonise the energy grid.

What will I be doing?

The finance business partner will be responsible for supporting all aspects of financial planning at Kaluza.  This will include:

  • Company goals - helping facilitate the decision making process in identifying our specific annual goals
  • Annual budget process - helping to decide the optimal size and shape or our organisation and how we best deploy capital to help us achieve our company goals
  • Quarterly re-forecasting - managing the process for identifying our current trajectory and identifying ‘course correcting’ activities where necessary to help us achieve our goals.
  • Investment decisions and partnering - liaising with other teams to work through investment decisions for new opportunities and helping facilitate making trade off decisions in terms of use of capital.
  • Commercial finance - assisting with other commercial projects including pricing strategy, competitor research as well as investor relations work

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you may have/be:

  • Strong financial literacy and analysis / modelling skills
  • A genuine interest in new energies and technologies
  • Professional qualification (ACA, CFA, ACCA or equivalent) is desired but not essential
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to manage complex detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders, including managing upwards
