Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to create an abundant and decarbonized material future. Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

As an R&D Lab Operations Manager, you will support development efforts by a diverse team of engineers and technicians building a world-changing product to decarbonize our vital industrial sectors.

You will report to the Director of Cell Testing and will be based in Natick, MA.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead operations across testing platforms to deliver fast cycles of learning and data fidelity
  • Manage team of technicians executing daily electrochemical cell builds
  • Create and maintain inventory management systems for electrochemical cell materials and general laboratory supplies
  • Champion 5S organizational practices
  • Develop and maintain scheduling tool for cross-platform cell testing activities
  • Identify gaps in team capabilities to ensure sufficient staffing

PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science, or technical field
  • 5+ years as an engineer, project, or program manager
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced and comfortable collaborating with executives, scientists, and engineers
  • Proficient with typical desktop and web applications
  • Startup experience a plus
  • Passionate for decarbonization
