Role DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional to be part of a growing team and help to build and scale the Communications function from end to end! You will help define the trajectory of Communications and will play a critical role in managing and supporting all internal and external communications efforts. This includes developing and executing public relations goals and corporate communications strategies that align with and support overall business objectives, as well as contributing to a culture of integrity, empathy, and engagement on a day-to-day basis. You will report to the Vice President of Communications while working in close collaboration with Form’s commercial, analytics, product, and policy teams.

This role can be either remote or onsite/hybrid in any of Form's office locations (Berkeley, CA, Somerville, MA or the Pittsburgh area).

What You'll Do:

  • Draft and edit long- and short-form communications, including print and digital content 
  • Manage external PR firm(s), graphic design consultant(s), creative firm(s), etc. on day-to-day basis, as well as the development of new communications assets including photography, graphics, and videography
  • Support external speaking engagements, conference coordination and preparation 
  • Write and edit press releases and op-eds, coordinate internal and external approvals, distribute to targeted media; coordinate media interviews, and prepare spokespersons, as needed
  • Support public affairs strategies to positively influence regulatory and policy outcomes and advance Form Energy’s mission via federal, regional, and state advocacy efforts
  • Manage all external company events
  • Research and build media lists for targeted pitches, monitor social media pages and key publications for mentions of Form Energy, and compile press clip and social media analytics reports
  • Read industry reports, studies, and publications to stay up to speed on current events within the clean energy industry

What You'll Bring:

  • 5-8 years of experience working in public relations or media; agency experience or experience working in renewable energy or clean tech is preferred
  • Experience pitching and securing placements in a variety of media
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent editing and proofing abilities 
  • Detail oriented while also skilled in strategic thinking
  • Experience or knowledge of Environmental Social and Governance reporting preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and proven success at juggling conflicting priorities under tight deadlines
  • Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field is a plus
  • Professional experience and skills in InDesign, Adobe Creative Cloud/Photoshop, Google Analytics, Google Suite, and WordPress is a major plus!
