Please note, this role is open only to current contingent workers who have been in a Customer Success Team role at Cruise for more than 90 days. 


About the Role:


The Customer Success team at Cruise is the primary human connection with our customers. In this role, you’ll be an early member of a critical team in a rapidly developing industry. As Sr. Customer Success Specialist you’ll have a direct impact on the experience of our customers. You’ll be at the heart of our front-line CS team, working proactively to ensure our customers have the best experience possible and responding in a thoughtful, empathetic way when support is needed. Additionally, you’ll help to incubate and test our process, training materials, and tools. This role is highly collaborative and dynamic, one moment you may be helping to resolve an escalated issue, the next you may be involved in testing a new product feature before it rolls out to the rest of our team.


What you'll be doing:

  • Work from our Scottsdale, AZ or San Francisco offices (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Help us identify operational inefficiencies, tooling limitations, and recommend improvements
  • Turn customer questions into useful content - knowledge articles, FAQs, templated replies, etc
  • Translate customer needs and feature requests into recommendations for our product team
  • Lead by example, resolving the toughest of issues from customers and ensuring that the team constantly performs at a high level
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME): You will develop and maintain deep knowledge about our customers’ experiences, identify trending issues and support rapid triage and resolution
  • Model our lived behaviors to encourage others to do the same in their daily work.

What you must have:
 

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Proven commitment to fostering consistently outstanding customer experiences
  • Passion for identifying and articulating nuanced (at times technical) problems in plain writing
  • An ownership mentality, always looking for opportunities to better your work product
  • Ability to translate analysis to actions quickly, and test your hypotheses to solve challenging business problems at their root level
  • Demonstrated ability to self-organize and prioritize work in an ambiguous environment
  • Comfortability working with modern customer support and productivity tools (Salesforce, Google Workspace, Confluence, etc)

Bonus points!

  • Comfortable pulling data from multiple sources, reading and analyzing data, doing analysis in Excel (can perform complex functions) or google sheets, and collaborating with analytics partners for more sophisticated analyses
  • Previous experience in high-tech or transportation industry
  • Experience leading people directly or indirectly
  • Passion for the AV industry
