Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

You will be a team leader of the Project Support team of coordinators with responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business. OVO Energy Solutions Ltd is a company within the OVO family and assists the business in meeting their Energy Company Obligation (ECO), as well as other Energy Efficiency funding initiatives. 

We achieve this by fitting Energy Efficiency measures such as insulation, renewable energy solutions and new heating systems to domestic properties across the UK. 

The Project Support Team is an integral part of the business, assisting departments throughout a project during the survey, installation and submission stages of an Energy Efficiency measure.

What will I be doing?

You will report to the Assurance & Support Services Manager, you will be known as the Project Support Team Leader and will manage the Project Support Team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the team and ensuring that Energy Solutions delivers compliant submissions for ECO eligible measures to the ECO team. You will also have decision making autonomy on matters relating to the effective delivery of project support during the construction phase of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The  Line Management of the ES Project Support Team whilst ensuring their alignment to operational forecast and delivery 
  • Supporting project support initiatives within the wider business strategy
  • Establishing and reporting on process success metrics
  • Working with a variety of key stakeholders including; clients, customers, suppliers
  • Ensuring consistent business compliance in line with Ofgem and Government funding initiatives 
  • Support implementing process change where required
  • Weekly reporting to ECO Team on delivery and errors
  • Updating project financials in accordance with ECO values to ensure accurate financial accruals
  • Control and mitigation of measures at risk
  • Overseeing the ES customer journey to ensure an exceptional customer experience 
  • Assisting the Assurance department in the quick resolution of complaints

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you will have the following:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Energy Company Obligation having worked for an Energy Efficiency contractor in the Social Refurbishment sector.
  • Experience in the effective delivery Government Energy Efficiency Policies and Funding initiatives
  • Knowledge of the operation and requirements of external stakeholders such as Councils, Housing Associations, Contractors and OFGEM.
  • Management experience of support services teams
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor your approach to individuals
  • Strong decision making skills, along with a proactive nature
  • Robust organisational skills 
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and be flexible in your approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in leading and assisting on business change initiatives.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and Google Suite experience
