SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, with experience in construction, engineering or in designing/building projects. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with Nexamp Project Managers and Site Superintendents to support the execution of projects. The Assistant Project Manager plays a critical role in the development of projects and working on multiple simultaneous projects and will play a key role as the Company grows into new and developing markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project managers on a variety of technical, commercial and logistical tasks, including permitting, RFI's, technical assessment, customer interaction, and utility coordination.
  • Prepare bid documents and manage subcontractor bid / buy out process and assist in any subcontractor invoicing questions/issues.
  • Coordinate compliance of administrative and accounting requirements in subcontracts and maintain up-to-date records, assisting PM with bid process as needed.
  • Manage Subcontractor folders for projects
  • Coordinate Building Permit submittal packages and submit Building permit application packages to AHJ when needed.
  • Manage RFI’s through the engineering team by entering RFI requests into the appropriate software (Procore) working with PM to provide specific information that will need to be included in request.
  • Manage all subcontractor submittals through the designated approval process. Coordinate with PM to update major equipment delivery dates and follow-up with vendors/procurement regarding delivery dates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent construction work experience, ideally in the solar industry.
  • Working knowledge of various areas of construction preferred (civil construction, electrical construction, utility construction).
  • OSHA 10 is preferred, but will train. 
  • Experience with MS Suite, Procore and various other construction management tools. 
  • Eye for detail and ability to communicate clearly. 
  • Self-starter, takes initiative and works well independently. 
  • Valid and current Driver’s License.
