The Workplace Technology team as part of the Enterprise engineering is an exciting and a fast-evolving engineering group within Cruise IT. The team is seeking an IT engineer to lead and manage Atlassian Systems (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.) supporting Cruise's Work Management and Collaboration domain. You will be leading the upgrade, maintenance and customization of the applications and servers, and the technical delivery of a wide variety of solutions involving Atlassian systems.
What you’ll be doing?
Lead implementation, management, and support of products and plugins across the entire Atlassian suite of tools
Provide recommendations to end users and leaders on standard practices and processes within the Atlassian Suite
Develop performance indicators, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA/Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with relevant operational/performance metrics and status reports
Identify ways to optimize and improve Atlassian setup and process workflows and identify where functionality can or cannot meet user requests
Provide user management, training, and support for Atlassian Suite
Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation
Apply built-in customization and third party add-ons to extend Atlassian Suite functionality as needed
Collaborate on problem resolution, team decisions, and project planning
Support multiple projects, including set-up and management of users, project roles, time tracking, security, and plug-ins
Customize and optimize workflows for multiple projects and create custom fields, new issue types, workflow statuses, transitions, post-functions, field configurations, and workflow schemes
Support and lead integrations to external systems with webhooks and API as required
What you must have?
5+ years of IT systems experience and 3+ years of experience in the administration, configuration and support of Atlassian products including:
Ability to administer JIRA Software, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence, add-ons, associated plug-ins and extensions
Agile project management and ability to build custom workflows, permission, issue security schemes based on requirements
Create reports with with SQL, JQL, CQL
Programming: JavaScript, HTML, Groovy, and preferred scripting language
Knowledge of Atlassian Suite and features, with excellent understanding of general administration and configuration to improve efficiency in using the platform
Strong understanding of business processes and experience demonstrating Atlassian Suite to improve those processes
Ability to work in a constantly evolving, dynamic, and agile environment
Work independently across functions with all levels of users and management
Act as a liaison between functional teams and identify dependencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Points:
AWS experience in a production environment
Terraform/Docker/Kubernetes experience
Ubuntu, PostgreSQL, Apache Tomcat, and NGINX experience
EazyBI, Scriptrunner, and Looker experience
