Job Description

The Company:

SparkCharge is a cleantech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption. One of our service lines is to provide “Charging-as-a-Service” (CaaS) through our mobile app “Currently”, which allows EV owners to schedule charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. We are actively looking to expand our Currently operations in the San Diego area. If you know what it takes to help launch a service and can lead operations, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare market with proper re-charging infrastructure, office space, and inventory
  • Service all customers during initial market launch period by hands on charging
  • Utilize charging equipment
  • Troubleshoot the equipment and EV if charging is unsuccessful
  • Report daily and weekly usage and service to management
  • Ability to use technology to perform high level customer service
  • Grow a distributed team of service technicians
  • Provide training and development for service technicians through effective coaching
  • Maintain local vendor relationships
  • Resolve escalated customer service issues while working with SparkCharge’s Customer Success department
  • Partner with our sales and revenue management team to foster local customer relationships, including corporate partnerships
  • Responsible for all variable costs including labor, fuel, real estate, van leasing, etc.
  • Implement scalable best practices that are continuously improving the company’s efficiencies
  • Report out on market KPIs and set monthly goals for team



Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Clean Driver's license.
  • Excellent or perfect driving record--no moving violations.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.
  • Experience leading a distributed field operations team.
  • Desire to innovate and learn with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proven history of being punctual, reliable, and courteous.
  • Ability to lift 70lbs equipment multiple times per day.
  • Excellent customer service skills; represent the company in a professional manager.
  • Ability to use simple electronic equipment.
