Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

The Workday Team at OVO supports the entire OVO group, working with the People and Finance functions by configuring system updates, implementing new functionality and providing the business with accurate and timely reporting. The ideal candidate exhibits self-motivation, excellent communication skills and has strong experience of working within Workday HCM modules to configure and improve processes.  

 

What will I be doing?

As the Workday Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of Workday. You will be instrumental in the implementation, roll out and maintenance of new Workday modules, as well as for maintaining and analysing data to identify improvements in a number of areas including the financial management and processes, IFRS and legislative requirements from HMRC and managing finance team queries. You’ll be working closely with the HR and Finance teams. Internal and external training will be provided on Workday as required

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in researching new capabilities within Workday
  • Monitoring issue log, promoting timely issue resolution, and managing appropriate issue escalation to achieve timely issue resolution
  • Providing troubleshooting support for functional and technical production issues, including coordinating with external suppliers and internal teams
  • Collaborating with functional and technical stakeholders to optimize business processes (particularly workflow/security).
  • Supporting with Workday major releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicating appropriately
  • Providing change management support by delivering training and development of materials
  • Supporting and optimizing the design, development and performance Workday and related business data and processes.
  • Partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts in our HR, Payroll and Finance teams to address and provide solutions to business needs
  • Ensuring documentation and processes are in place to satisfy audit requirements
  • Assisting with the execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participating in all aspects of system testing.
  • Developing and leading training sessions for Finance, managers and employees

Is this the job for me?

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified
  • Experience in control processes
  • Knowledge of Workday
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills to be able to manage and prioritise multiple time sensitive projects effectively.
  • An ability to adapt to a very fast paced changing environment and know that nothing is impossible!
  • Resilience, and not be afraid of hard work and be able to cope under pressure.
  • Confidence in your ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and support them.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
