Job Summary

 

We are at a pivotal moment for our team. We are operating a complex company that continues to grow and evolve significantly, which means we are building out our People Operations and Talent department. In addition, we are always improving our internal operations infrastructure.

 

The People & Culture team is a small and highly collaborative team. We are seeking someone who can be a utility player across the different functions: coordinating for the Talent team, providing administrative support to People Ops, and in general, helping with a tactical workload that is critically important to the efficiency of our operations as well as candidate and employee experience. For someone interested in gaining experience with a fast-moving start-up, this will be a great fit.

 

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for candidate scheduling throughout the interview process and will manage process/workflow in our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse)
  • You will ensure administrative support and execution of our People Operations processes with an eye for improving efficiency and scalability.
    • Responsible for our full lifecycle of all employee data from onboarding through to offboarding (i.e. data entry, updates, audits, or paperwork); including benefits enrollment.
    • Coordination of any visa applications for new hires.
    • Complete any incoming employment verifications (current and former employees)
    • For onboarding/offboarding (i.e. manage new hire onboarding orientations and schedules and host exit interviews).
    • Ensure all new hires and existing employees are completing trainings as necessary (i.e. annual anti-harassment trainings).
  • You will be the go-to person for employee data management. You ensure all People Ops platforms - Justworks (HRIS) and Lattice - have current employee information. You will be the main administrator for these platforms and troubleshoot any errors that occur. You will process any company level updates required in this system.
  • You will support project management for a variety of HR projects such as employee handbook / policy reviews and refreshes of our internal site or benefits presentations.
  • You will maintain expert knowledge of our benefits plans, programs, and initiatives.
  • You will assist in our annual benefits renewal process and host our open enrollment session annually. You will provide support on the creation of any benefits / perks administration.
  • You will process and administer any leave of absence requests. You will be the main point of contact between employees and their managers on the status of leaves and return to work.




Qualifications: 

 

We are looking for someone with 3 years of work experience in a recruitment or similar HR role. Your work experience can come from different places/industries as long as you can demonstrate what you have learned.

 

  • You have experience with Greenhouse, and modern HRIS Systems (currently using Justworks, Pilot, and Xero).
  • Realistically, you have some practical full-time experience with driving processes and executing reliably.
  • You are passionate about people & process; you like getting things done.
  • Above all else, you are highly organized, detail oriented and able to multitask. You recognize that errors in this work can have big implications for employees and candidates.
  • You love taking initiative and proactively provide suggestions on how to streamline and improve processes.
  • You value the importance of professionalism when handling sensitive employee data.
  • You are curious about how benefit programs and employee policies drive our culture and help us retain top talent.
  • You are empathetic, resourceful, and comfortable navigating through ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You create excellent partnerships, and are seen as a strong team player.
