<p>The Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X) program is a Department of Energy (DOE) initiative being led by the Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) and the Wind Energy Technologies Office (WETO) to convene diverse stakeholders involved in the interconnection of solar energy, wind energy, and energy storage resources to facilitate peer-learning and knowledge exchange and inspire new interconnection ideas and capabilities. The i2X program manager will support SETOs efforts to manage the programs four components:</p>
<ul>
<li>Stakeholder Engagement Center The first-of-its-kind national interconnection stakeholder engagement center uses structured working groups to bring together stakeholderslike utilities, grid operators, state and local governments, energy justice groups, non-profits, industry, and othersto identify interconnection barriers, share best practices and lessons learned, and test innovative solutions to address specific interconnection challenges.</li>
<li>Data Collection and Analysis Data on interconnection queues, timelines, costs, disapprovals, and other factors help to identify where and how interconnection barriers can be addressed. i2X leads data collection efforts and in-depth analyses to provide the baseline information to set interconnection metrics, track progress, and identify successful strategies.</li>
<li>Interconnection Process Roadmap Leveraging input from stakeholders, i2X is developing a 5-year interconnection roadmap to systematically improve interconnection processes, reduce interconnection timelines and costs, and maintain grid reliability to meet local, state, regional, and federal decarbonization goals.</li>
<li>Interconnection Technical Assistance After identifying major technical and process challenges, stakeholders can receive direct support from interconnection experts to implement interconnection solutions.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead role supporting SETOs efforts to implement the four components of the i2X program.</li>
<li>Support the development and execution of new funding opportunities, technical assistance programs, and other funding mechanisms that address grid interconnection issues. Tasks can include research to inform new programs, expert assessment of applications, and implementation of required federal procedures.</li>
<li>Support the management of a portfolio of projects and/or programs to address grid interconnection issues and increase the deployment of solar energy by providing technical guidance to awardees and expert assessment of project/program progress.</li>
<li>Provide expert assessment of data, models, analysis, user tools, and technical assistance to reduce barriers to solar energy deployment at the household, commercial, and utility levels.</li>
<li>Participate in external conferences, webinars, and other events to stay current on solar stakeholder needs and provide recommendations for SETO program improvements.</li>
<li>Prepare communications materials, including PowerPoint presentations, web text, factsheets, and other resources for a variety of stakeholder audiences.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with diverse staff that have a variety of technical backgrounds and experience levels to execute on SETOs goals.</li>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or higher.</li>
<li>At least 5 + years of professional experience that is relevant to the technical, administrative, and/or financial processes involved with the interconnection of renewable or conventional energy generators to the electric grid.</li>
<li>Able to work from Washington, DC.</li>
<li>Authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions, U.S. Citizen or Permanent US Resident.</li>
