This position will help directly support the Department of Energy's (DOE) office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's (EERE) Knowledge Management and Systems Office (KMSO), which has an exciting opportunity for a Management Analyst. KMSO develops and manages EERE business policies, processes, procedures, and systems to ensure consistent, efficient, and effective mission execution in accordance with Federal and DOE guidelines and leadership priorities.

This position provides an advanced opportunity to facilitate collaboration across offices and staff inputs to improve EERE project management and funding opportunity announcement (FOA) processes. The Analyst will support the Knowledge Hub site, Knowledge Hub helpdesk and associated change request process, document management of KMSO-owned business processes and templates, and the Directives process.

Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Business Process/Policy Document Management:
    • Develop new and update and improve existing resources, tools, and templates (e.g., tip sheets, guides, standard operating procedures, etc.) to support EERE project management and FOA processes.
    • Track the status of associated change requests in the Knowledge Hub help desk, update/redline documents, coordinate reviews with internal and external subject matter experts, track/resolve comments, finalize documents, upload to the Knowledge Hub, and communicate changes.
  • Directives:
    • Support monthly Directives meeting coordination, agenda development, note taking, and action item follow-up.
    • Lead monthly change request tag-up meeting between KMSO and the Procurement Compliance and Analysis Office (PCAO).
    • Task lead for change requests related to announcement planning, announcement development, and project management.
  • Knowledge Hub Site:
    • Champion the Knowledge Hub site; work to improve awareness and transparency to ensure all EERE staff have the information they need to efficiently and successfully perform their work.
    • Maintain and improve the overall quality and integrity of the Knowledge Hub site.
    • Train new users and admins as needed. Maintain and improve existing resources and guides.
  • Knowledge Hub Help Desk:
    • Manage help desk inbox
    • Enter change requests and questions from users.
    • Maintain and improve the help desk site and associated resources/guides.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (project management, business, sustainable energy, earth science, energy management, or another related discipline).
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Self-starter, the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.
  • Ability to balance multiple long and short-term projects and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EEREs Funding Opportunity Announcement process.
  • Experience with tracking and monitoring EERE research and development projects.
  • Project management experience, PMP certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $75-110,000
