Job Description

Boston Government Services has a need for a Weatherization Project Monitor.

This position directly supports the Department of Energy Weatherization and Intergovernmental Office (WIPO) in data analysis and project management activities including technical support, oversight and closeouts of DOE funded projects; and data development, analysis, and presentation for ad hoc and ongoing requests. Involves day to day interactions with internal parties including legal, contracting, and NEPA; as well as external communication with state and local governments.

Position requirements include:

  • Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, and progress assessment for WIPO activities.
  • Develop data reports and analysis on various program metrics.
  • Engage with WIPO stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gaps are being addressed where possible at the Federal level.
  • Prepare financial assistance closeout award packages following standard operating procedures and related guidance and practices.
  • Obtain and review final deliverables from project recipients; verify federal expenditures and that cost share requirements were met; obtain information on accepted manuscripts, journal articles, and publications; and provide feedback on the quality of the deliverables.

Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to meet congressionally mandated deadlines. Expert data analysis and report development skills using Excel, MS Access, VBA, and/or Python is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (project management, engineering, sustainable energy, earth science, energy management, or other related disciplines).
  • >5 years experience.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Self-starter, the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.
  • Ability to balance a high workload with tangible deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working within EERE Programs.
  • Experience in grant management.
  • Advanced Excel and database skills.
  • Statistical analysis and reporting experience.

Salary Range: $70-95,000
