Our rapidly growing Member Operations team of mission-driven, climate enthusiasts is passionate, innovative, and committed to a better future for the planet. We are looking for an Account Operations Analyst to oversee the system integrations between Inspire, our partners, vendors, and utilities. These relationships intertwine to create a meaningful and positive experience for our Members, delivering them clean energy and fulfilling our products, while creating value for our business. This role will focus on managing workflows to drive growth while enabling scale and cost reductions. 

How you’ll help: 

  • Take ownership of multiple operational workflows, such as managing our partial enrollment conversion queue, account exception case management, failed orders queue, and managing utility requests
  • Work with our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) vendor, utilities, and internal teams to investigate and resolve transaction exceptions that impact customers and internal processes
  • Effectively communicate bugs, opportunities for process improvements, and business feedback to peers, external contacts, and department leaders
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings efforts
  • Extract trends and detect issues from large data sets
  • Support and respond to external and internal requests within established SLA’s
  • Work with Manager to execute on prioritized initiatives to ensure deadlines are met with the expected level of quality

Some Year 1 Deliverables:

  • Maintain KPI’s for partial enrollment conversion, account exception management, handling failed orders, and maintaining utility communications to resolve customer issues within established SLAs
  • Manage and iterate on new pricing reconciliation strategy 
  • Expand suite of Operational documentation and training materials
  • Apply best practices to new workflows as our products evolve

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • Non-negotiables
    • 1-2 years experience executing backend operational workflows and transaction management
    • Experience creating and implementing process improvements with cross-functional departments, including software and data engineers
    • Experience testing workflows and documenting processes
    • Familiar with SQL query language
    • Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to learn new systems and processes quickly
    • Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal skill
  • Nice to have
    • EDI transaction management experience
    • Knowledge of third party EDI vendor & systems, specifically ESG & P2C
    • Experience with pricing reconciliation and/or pricing operations 
    • Project management experience
    • Incident management experience
    • Exposure to agile software development
    • Experience with electric utilities and/or electric suppliers in deregulated energy markets
    • Knowledge of Mode and/or Tableau
