We are dedicated to shaping an inclusive culture that drives excellence, innovation, and results by enabling talent acceleration and development, engagement, and the employee experience.  The HR Team is a matrix organization within Beyond Meat that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins. They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PA as a HR Generalist. Human Resource Generalist performs a wide range of functions within the HR Department including, but not limited to, employee relations and welfare, legal compliance, enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Generalist will also be expected to support the Human Resources Manager on ad hoc projects. 

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to build rapport and establish trust and credibility.  Serve as the first level of contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.  Escalates as needed to the HR Manager.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand staffing needs, utilizing an ATS, onboarding, and conducting new hire orientation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, such as timekeeping, benefits, leave, personnel files and confidential documents within legal compliance standards, HR related reports as needed, and participates in disciplinary matters, investigations, employment end, and unemployment claims.  
  • Assists with monthly programs, such as Employee of the Month, Round Table meetings, birthday and anniversary calendar, announcements, treats, meals, special projects, employee welfare, and Beyond News.
  • May be assigned projects and/or other duties outside of normal job functions to meet the needs and demands of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years progressive HR experience, including knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • SHRM-CP or SCP a plus.

  • Other qualifications:
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Must have a high sense of urgency due to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to cope with change and be flexible with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the ATS and HRIS systems.
  • ·Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exemplify core values and looks to the best interest of the Company.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.  
  • Position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, step, balance, crouch, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., reach above shoulders, or as needed to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs to complete tasks.
  • Position located in an office environment, and may require occasional visits to the production area, which may require a tolerance for cold environments (0-40˚ F), high worker traffic, loud noises, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures.
  • Role involves moderate activity - large campus and necessity to move to and from long distances.
  • Work flexible shifts as required.
  • Understand that overtime and occasional worked holidays will be required based on company needs.
