Job Description

We are looking for a creative, strategic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead all aspects of our Marketing, Brand, PR and Communications strategy and delivery.  

A successful candidate will:  

  • Develop and lead the organization’s Marketing, Brand, PR and Communications strategies and processes  
  • Develop long-term brand value to build awareness, deepen engagement and drive revenue 
  • Communicate the strategy effectively to the rest of the company and track performance against it 
  • Foster an organizational culture that aligns employee and team performance with strategic goals and objectives
  • Set marketing budgets, monitor ROI and measure the effectiveness of spend across the organization 
  • Leverage the marketing infrastructure for analytics and deliver clear and impactful insights to the rest of the company
  • Increase demand and lead generation in a highly measurable way 
  • Optimize our customer acquisition channels with a continuing focus on improving conversion rates  
  • Deeply understand our customers and drive home the importance of that understanding to the business and your team 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with executive team to make high-level decisions regarding the budget and the direction of the company  

Who You Are 

This is an exciting role with many opportunities – and unknowns. We are still in the early stages of our go-to-market strategy, so many of our marketing channels have tremendous growth opportunities.  We are simultaneously building new capabilities and features into our platform at a rapid pace. 

As such, you will need to be: 

  • A marketing expert with 7+ years of experience and increasing responsibility in early-stage, B2B SaaS companies 
  • A determined problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and change 
  • Experienced in creating and communicating strong value propositions, buyer personas, and playbooks 
  • A proven success at generating pipeline and revenue by delivering high quality, sales ready leads to the sales team, enabling them to achieve new business revenue targets 
  • A calming presence who can think on their feet and stay cool under pressure
  • A strong communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Task-oriented, organized and efficient, enabling you to juggle multiple projects with ease
  • A friendly personality who loves to work with people
  • Excited to roll up your sleeves to help build an early-stage startup – working through the inevitable challenges when they arise and reaping the benefits when we get it right 

Some of the things you’ll do 

  • Optimize lead qualification for sales and track flow through of leads to ensure lead handoff process is current, documented, communicated to sales and effectively being executed 
  • Work closely with our sales, partner, and customer success teams to maximize the qualification and sales acceleration process and results  
  • Understand the entire customer journey and execute best practices to engage prospects through the funnel

  • A process mindset and the ability to think critically (e.g., HOW does this work? WHY does it work this way? HOW can we make it even better?) 
  • Strong listening and empathy skills 
  • A positive can-do attitude that can think strategically while also support tactical efforts by rolling up your sleeves to execute

Sustain.Life is a B2B SaaS startup focused on bringing sustainability expertise to the masses. From first revenue in late 2021, we have grown to a team of ~50 people across the North America, Ireland, and the UK. Our goal is to become the category defining tech platform that empowers companies to simplify how they design and execute their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy. 

Our core product is a sustainability platform that enables users to measure, manage, and report their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.  It also provides recommended steps to reduce their carbon footprint and purchase offsets where elimination is not yet possible, providing a clear and actionable path to Net-Zero.

Over the course of 2022 and 2023, we will be: 

  • Rapidly scaling our B2B SaaS offering 
  • Driving global brand awareness and lead generation 
  • More than doubling our ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) 
  • Completing our Series-A fundraise
