Role DescriptionWe are looking for an exceptional construction project manager to own the planning and construction execution of our first-in-kind battery factory and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to start from a blank slate and build large state of the art battery manufacturing factories at record speed.
This opportunity is based out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

What you'll do:

• You are responsible for planning, scoping, contracting, budgeting, scheduling and driving the execution of a large portion of our battery factory construction. 
• You will lead construction of building core & shell, utilities, interior fit-outs, commissioning, manufacturing equipment tool install and utility tie-ins.
• Drive to a record speed & efficient execution through fundamental understanding and simplification of scope, challenging requirements, effective contracting and sequencing strategies.
• Extensive cross functional planning & collaboration with internal & external stakeholders (manufacturing, operations…). You are bringing the cross functional team together to secure the well coordinated construction project success.
• Build strong partnerships with our trade partners. Provide them a clear & concise direction. Hold ourselves to the highest standards.
• Coordinate with the engineering teams to prioritize engineering packages and incorporate constructability during design reviews to enable the most efficient construction execution.
• Own defining scope of work, bidding, award, execution, project close out and punch lists.
• Scrutinize bids & quotes to validate against cost and schedule.
• Evaluate, negotiate and process change orders, invoices and RFIs.
• Monitor progress against schedule & plan in the field.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in engineering or construction management, delivering on industrial, manufacturing or complex commercial projects as a construction project manager.
• Fundamental understanding of industrial construction engineering, scoping, planning, contracting, sequencing, reporting, budgeting and execution. 
• Exceptional commitment, work ethic and urgency.
• Passion for building large scale manufacturing infrastructure.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, leadership, interpersonal and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing conflicting objectives and compressed timelines within complex industrial project execution.
• Degree in engineering, construction management or or equivalent.
