Job Description

The PLM Operations Engineer serves as the liaison between Maintenance, Production, and Operations Engineering.
·       Develop procedures (Work Plan/Job Plan) steps for work orders and identify job safety (LOTO) and regulatory approval requirements.·       Plan and schedule the work orders through the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) through knowledge and skills determine the most efficient and optimal way for maintenance shops to perform the work.·       Assist with managing and driving product lifecycle management (PLM) readiness under entrance and exit requirements for all build phases and product lifecycle while working within all internal universal part number (UPN) document control standards.·       Assist with executing and tracking completion of engineering change orders (ECO), manufacturing change orders (MCO), and all other configuration management activities·       Coordinate the implementation of internal subsystem bill of materials (BOM) and top-level assemblies (TLA).·       Help to provide structural assistance and management for the creation of on-the-shelf (OTS), custom part numbers, including BOM.·       Assist with managing and driving product lifecycle management (PLM) readiness under entrance and exit requirements for all build phases and product lifecycle while working within all internal universal part number (UPN) document control standards.·       Research product change impact to ensure that all products affected are identified and any issues resolved prior to the documents being finalized within product documentation management application.·       Help to interface and communicate project status with engineering, other cross-functional departments, and 3rd parties.·       Assist with managing information and applicable supporting documents including, manufacturing part numbers (MPN) specifications, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) certificates, and other applicable attributes for stakeholders from approved manufacturer list (AML), and approved vendor List (AVL).·       Lead the job or work planning process. (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)·       Identify labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements for maintenance work orders.·       Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service, minimize downtime and interruptions to overall operations, apply technical and maintenance experience to analysis of each job.·       Support spare parts management.·       Communicate job plan to the Maintenance Supervisors and/or Technicians prior to start of the work.·       Communicate and collaborate with Production Operations Team to optimize scheduling and ensure critical equipment needs (Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Work, Safety Updates, etc.) are accounted for in the build planning process.·       Manage Work Order backlogs, track work order aging, and communicate planned and ready backlogs to Supervisors and Techs.·       Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of QuantumScape.·       Support other projects as needed by management as business needs change.
REQUIREMENTS:
·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related program, and/or equivalent in work experience.  ·       Previous experience with ERP/MRP Systems and Maximo. ·       Two+ years' experience in MAXIMO or related maintenance database systems.·       Functional understanding of all MAXIMO modules - assets, work orders, service request, inventory, reporting.·       Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).·       Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with equipment maintenance planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment, and experience as an Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.·       Experienced reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics.·       Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, with a significant emphasis on Microsoft Excel.·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
