We are seeking a Part-Time Limited Term Survey Administrator who can support in-person surveys as part of our project focused on the health effects of weatherization.

Our ideal Survey Administer can effectively administer surveys to community members after completing the survey training course. Must be willing to travel within the greater Milwaukee area and visit people’s homes to collect data. This role will work approximately 220 hours per year from July 2022 to December 2024.
 
What You'll Do:
 
Training: Complete the University of Michigan PEERRS and REDCap software certification (8-10 hours). Receive training on the study and tasks to be performed, how to safely store digital information, etc.
 
  • Initial site visit
  • Obtain informed consent via tablet
  • Talk about the study and answer participants’ questions
  • Administer the baseline survey
  • Give participants the activity monitor and teach them how to wear it. Ask them to complete the sleep journal.
  • Work with participants to mount temperature and humidity monitors in bedrooms
  • Provide reloadable gift cards to participants
  • Set expectations with participants regarding monthly surveys, final survey, wearing activity monitor in a year, returning activity monitor and logger
  • Final visit to some homes for equipment retrieval
 
What You'll Need to Succeed in this Role:
 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish with preference given to those who have extended language proficiency
  • Ability to collect and input survey data
  • Ability to establish rapport and trust with survey participants
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and familiarity with tablet functionality
