Responsibilities

• Identify the requirements of the system and provide a design capable of meeting not only the current needs, but also to ensure the design can handle future growth
• Background with wireless communication system design for automotive grade products or wireless consumer products
• Excellent RF fundamentals
• Design in the following areas is necessary: 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM, Wi-Fi/BT, GNSS
• Hands-on experience in system prototype design, board-level bring-up, and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support
• System specification definition and resulting bench level performance  characterization (such as conformance testing to 3GPP spec in conducted mode)
• Cross functional/departmental collaboration with other teams
• Experience in RFIC design through schematic capture and validation as well as experience in working directly with PCB layout engineers
• Working with and managing suppliers & manufacturing partners

Qualifications

• BS/MS with 5+ years of work experience
• Schematic capture, layout, routing
• RF Design verification and performance validation
• Strong working knowledge & experience with RF equipment including R&S (or equivalent to a CMW500) 5G/LTE RF tester, Anritsu non-signaling RF tester (i.e: an MT8870A test equipment equivalent), VNA (Vector Network Analyzer)
• Some EE working knowledge and experience with using an oscilloscope for signal integrity measurements and power measurements
• Manufacturing support
• Design for harsh operating environments
• Strong links with FW development for bring-up
• Design for compliance & experience intuition wrt ESD, EMC, FCC compliance, etc.
