Job Description

Job title: Talent Acquisition Partner (12 month fixed-term contract)

Location: Bristol, London, or Edinburgh

Part time available: yes (80%)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

Kaluza wants to power a world where net-zero is within everyone’s reach, by building the platform that will accelerate a sustainable, affordable and resilient energy transition. It’s a huge challenge, but often the toughest problems are the most rewarding to solve.

Since launching in 2019, Kaluza’s technology has been empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve millions of customers.

From revolutionising billing to smart electric vehicle charging, our real-time cloud platforms transform supplier operations, reducing cost to serve and boosting engagement. And most importantly, they enable suppliers' customers to drive decarbonisation with smart, low carbon technologies.

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You will be working as part of the People team, reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition. We look to attract, inspire and nurture people to connect to and be inspired by our purpose, share in our values and become advocates of our mission to drive progress towards net zero carbon living.

We are shaping the future: a distributed, dynamic energy system that will be the nervous system connecting energy retailers, grid / network operators and consumers to provide clean, affordable energy for everyone. We’re creating the tools to help consumers unlock the full benefits of renewable energy by enabling a seamless connection between the customer and the grid. The work we do will enable our society to meet the challenge of bringing electric vehicles and connected homes to market, and we’re doing that by building unique technology to enable market-leading customer propositions like Vehicle to Grid and Drive Anytime Energy Plan through our energy retailer partners.

What will I be doing?

  • Working with a high performing team with four Talent Acquisition Partners, this role will look after hiring for roles across our different teams at Kaluza.
  • Making sure that our hiring practices and processes are inclusive to people from all kinds of backgrounds by deliberate design, and that we build diverse, talented teams.
  • Using a blend of different sourcing techniques and channels to directly connect with top talent that might not yet have heard of Kaluza, and guide them through every step of the process, becoming a trusted advisor along the way.
  • Helping to build and maintain Kaluza’s employer brand.
  • Training our interviewers to ensure we maintain a structured, inclusive and positive candidate experience and building a toolkit to make this scalable.
  • Using data to analyse metrics and provide commentary to stakeholders.
  • Leading a multi-location talent strategy within the UK, but also with a view to supporting new internationally located teams.
  • Responsible for making sure our tools, such as Greenhouse, Workday, LinkedIn and hiring platforms have relevant and up to date content, and we are using them in the most efficient and inclusive way.

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you’ll be:

  • Highly adaptable and able to pick up a variety of different roles to recruit, and get to the essence of what’s needed.
  • Familiar with working as part of an in-house recruiting team at a rapidly growing agile and tech-focused organisation.
  • Knowledgeable about market and trends and partner closely with hiring teams to guide their talent strategy.
  • Comfortable negotiating and closing offers.
  • A creative problem solver, who will continuously review and improve Kaluza’s hiring processes with a data-driven approach.
  • Passionate about building high performing teams with inclusion and diversity front and centre.

Kaluza Values

Kaluza’s vision is to power a world where net-zero is within everyone’s reach. Would you be interested in joining us to help achieve this?

We want the best people

We’re keen to meet people from all walks of life — our view is that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. We want to build teams which represent a variety of experiences, perspectives and skills, and we recognise talent on the basis of merit and potential.

We understand some people may not apply for jobs unless they tick every box. But if you're excited about joining us and think you have some of what we're looking for, even if you're not 100% sure, we'd still love to hear from you.
