R&D Technician, Cathode - CWW - Wed thru Fri/Sat

QuantumScape is on a mission to transform energy storage with solid-state lithium-metal battery technology. The company’s next-generation batteries are designed to enable longer range, faster charging and enhanced safety in electric vehicles to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future.

We are seeking an experienced and diligent R&D Technician to join our existing team for development of next generation cathode. The current shift for this role is CWW, Wednesday thru Friday alternate Saturday, 6:30pm-6:30am.
Responsibilities:
Fabrication of cathode electrode for all-solid-state batteries.Preparing test battery cells for successful test execution.Maintaining the organization and function of the laboratory space and equipment.Complete production documentation accurately and timely.
Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of work experience in a fast-paced lab or manufacturing environment requiring high accuracy execution of processes or experiments.Use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands. Dexterity to perform work in a glovebox, dry room and fume hood.Able to quickly adapt to constantly evolving processes and learn new processes; follow procedures to efficiently run equipment and handle chemicals safely.You love working closely with a team in an energizing and fast-paced environment; you share our real passion for our mission.Ability to remain focused in repetitive and critical operations.Clear written and verbal skills to logically communicate ideas and thought processes.
Preferred:
Ability to read SDS.Experience in powder process, e.g. mixing, milling, spraying.Hand-on experience in pellet press or other densification techniques.
