Senior Validation Test Engineer

Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced individual in the test & validation area to help us develop our core technology by joining our growing test team. You will lead the product qualification test plans, both in house and with 3rd party test houses. As part of the test team, you will work with reliability and core technology teams to define and execute design validation plan activities to meet various electrical, mechanical and electrochemical performance specifications.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the validation test programs to qualify Form’s product at component as well as module level performance 
• Work closely with the reliability engineering team to curate & execute test plans at each product development stage 
• Identify test equipment requirements for in-house and 3rd party testing as well as resources needed for executing the validation tests
• Analyze test data and provide feedback to battery products and technology teams for design iterations
• Document findings by compiling reports and help compliance and field test activities

What You'll Bring:

• 4+  years of experience in product qualification testing in a related field, experience with battery testing a plus
• Experience setting up experiments for component & system level tests such as NVH, HALT, Extreme Environment, Abuse tests
• Experience working with 3rd party test facilities 
• Familiarity with UL, ISO standards
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and/or MATLab
• Basic laboratory safety knowledge
• Experience using cloud based organizational tools
• Strong communication skills within a group of peers and broader organization
• Positive attitude and appetite to learn and grow within our organization
• Willingness to share ideas to contribute to organizational and technical problem solving
