Job Description

Boston Government Services has a need for an Indian Energy Technical Project Monitor/Engineer.

This position will directly support the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy (IE) in project management activities, including Funding Opportunity Announcements, Merit Reviews, Peer Reviews, Award Negotiation, Project Monitoring, and closeout for grants and cooperative agreements. Support involves day-to-day interactions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, and communications, as well as external communication with project recipients and National Laboratories. Will provide programmatic planning and logistic support requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills. In addition, they will have project management experience and interest in working with American Indian Tribes and Alaska Natives to maximize the value of their energy resources through fuel-neutral energy solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of and experience working with renewable and conventional energy technologies.
  • Project management skills, including experience managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with an ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.
  • Ability to balance multiple long and short-term projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Successful drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with American Indian Tribes, Alaska Natives, or other indigenous people.
  • Project management experience, PMP certification.
  • Experience with federal government contracting.

Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000
