Job Description

Boston Government Services has an open Prize Administration and Design Support Position.

This position will help directly support the Department of Energy’s (DOE) office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) in innovation and commercialization activities, including, but not limited to, Prize support, project management, and technical support. Support involves daily interactions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, and communications, as well as external communication with project recipients in academia, private industry, and National Laboratories.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support development and administration of prize competitions, including drafting prize rules, engaging prize support mechanisms, and supporting review processes.
  • Develop and facilitate connections between prize technical teams, awardees and participants, and National Lab and external support organizations.
  • Support the development of a prize sponsor network and engagement with prize sponsors.
  • Support development and execution of post-prize activities.
  • Help identify and engage with potential investors.
  • Engage with prize support networks and stakeholders in the water power innovation ecosystem to develop strategies and processes to integrate incubation and acceleration in prizes.
  • Engage with other staff across the program, EERE, and DOE working on prize competitions.
  • Support other innovation and commercialization programs in marine energy and hydropower.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Successful drug screening.

Salary Range: $80-110,000
