Job Description

As our Verification Lead at Resonant Link, you will be responsible for creating solutions and managing a team to systematically prove that our solutions match our requirements — to ourselves, our customers, and the industry. You will be working inside of an established engineering team that has been busy designing world class mobility wireless power chargers and tackling engaging power electronics, magnetics, embedded systems and mechanical challenges. Your success as the Verification Lead is critical to turning groundbreaking prototypes into groundbreaking products.

We’re committed to building a healthy, collaborative engineering culture - and to help us deliver on our mission, we’re looking for empathetic, problem solvers and team leaders, with a passion for solving technical challenges at the boundary between scientific innovation and productization. If you get energized by working at the intersection of people, process and technology, we’re excited for you to bring your technical expertise, creativity, and leadership to the team!

This role primarily requires being on-site at our HQ lab in Burlington, VT and assistance is provided to candidates open to relocate. However, we have an established culture of flexible hours and remote work. Our teammates have the agency to structure their schedules in a way that is conducive to project completion and a holistic approach to their personal & professional development. Therefore, we welcome applications from passionate people living in the Northeastern U.S. that are willing to travel approximately 1 week per month to our lab in Burlington, VT.

On an average day, you’ll..

  • Lead a team of engineers in verifying our wireless power systems against requirements
  • Architect processes, test solutions and data streams to effectively communicate verification efforts
  • Own and work against a test budget
  • Coordinate external resources to facilitate regulatory testing
  • Create an effective feedback loop to inform design processes about observed downstream flaws
  • Coordinate with manufacturing efforts to guarantee test coverage for all parts

The team you’ll be joining:

Our core values include our commitments to Deliver on Every Promise and that Together is Better, and we’ve built a team to reflect those. Our team includes engineers with PhDs from Berkeley, Dartmouth, ETH Zurich, Michigan, Stanford, and more and business & technical experience at Tesla, Apple, Dynapower, iRobot, and Harvard Medical School. We are critically reliant on our team members’ ownership, creativity, empathy, rigor, and collaboration to deliver on the promises of wireless charging to transform mission-critical power.

Requirements

  • Examples of relevant previous experience includes 1 or more of the following roles:
    • Senior Design Engineer
    • Senior Verification and Validation Engineer
    • Verification and Validation Manager
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience testing, designing, or studying power electronic systems
  • Primarily work on-site at our Burlington, VT laboratory (relocation assistance provided). Open to remote applicants from the Northeastern U.S. who are willing to travel to Burlington, VT
  • Must have up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19 and use a mask while on-site (mask requirement subject to change as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves)

Who we're looking for:

  • You operate with empathy, integrity, and a growth mindset, viewing mistakes and challenges as learning opportunities and building upon your successes. You challenge yourself to continuously grow and improve.
  • You’re able to think several steps ahead to mitigate downstream risks, and are not afraid of asking questions to broaden your understanding.
  • You're a creative problem solver, taking initiative to own and solve problems with a mindset of continuous improvement - ensuring bigger picture issues are addressed, not just the problem at hand.
  • You’re adept at working in a distributed, dynamic environment, and feel comfortable navigating change and ambiguity.
  • You’re a collaborative, respectful, and honest team member - you understand the impact of your work/your team’s work on other projects and people, and you know together is always better!
  • Your attention to detail is unparalleled and you will relentlessly, systematically de-risk our product through identification, tracking, and resolving every underperforming aspect of our wireless system.
  • You are driven by accountability and goals, and are eager to inspire your team with your ideas.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills plus strength in technical documentation.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and generous stock options
  • Paid holidays (including a week off at new year) and an unlimited vacation policy
  • The flexibility to work anywhere and a home office stipend for fully-remote employees
  • 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • 401(k) retirement benefit
  • Generous paid parental and family leave
  • Learning/career development investment in your professional and personal growth including hiring outside mentors, professional development courses, and more
  • Company outings & team retreats
