General Ledger Accountant

Your role at QuantumScape:
As a GL Accountant within the Corporate Accounting team, you will play a key role in supporting cross-functional partners performing monthly and quarterly close responsibilities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
In this role, you will:- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end fixed assets accounting close activities as asset settlement, assets creation, capitalizations, retirement, and dispositions of fixed assets, etc.- Provide support to internal customers within Fixed Assets accounting- Coordinate Annual Physical Inventory- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities- Prepare GL journal entries and balance account reconciliations, including, but not limited to cash, fixed assets, prepaid, accruals etc.- Provide support in external and internal audit.- Support process improvement opportunities that improve the overall efficiency within your area.- Support special accounting projects as required.
What we look for:- 2+ years of experience in an accounting and finance organization- Understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement- Good verbal and written English skills- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and have strong attention to detail- Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross functional partners- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel- SAP knowledge preferred- Bachelor’s degree
