By showing companies the business case for mitigating water risk, Waterplan accelerates the transition to a world where companies are incentivized to save more water, abate the discharge of polluting effluents, conserve watersheds and preserve shared value.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Client Success team at Waterplan.

You will work in a fully remote distributed team across multiple disciplines at a science-oriented company. At Waterplan, you will have the chance to work at the forefront of our industry and with world-leading water and sustainability experts.

About your core focus

The Data Analyst is in charge of transforming raw data into powerful insights in order to guide and help different stakeholders (internal or external) make data-driven decisions. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Support Water Advisors’ appraisals by performing analysis, calculations, projections, and publishing assessments built on client or researched data.

  • Transform unstructured data sets to use them in the analysis and integrations pipeline.

  • Work closely with client-facing roles in order to help clients upload/input the correct data into the platform and to validate what's been uploaded.

  • Design data analytics pipelines to streamline the process, making it faster and improving resiliency.

  • Work closely with engineering roles to expand internal tools and methodologies that improve our ability to analyze, understand, and validate data.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistics.

  • Full proficiency in Google Spreadsheets and SQL. 

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as R and/or Python is a plus.

  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Google Data Studio, Microstrategy, or Power BI and statistical modeling techniques.
