We are a collaborative, supportive, communicative group who works with several cross functional teams. The Risk Management team is execution driven, though we stress the importance of work-life balance. This is the first Claims Advocate hire with great opportunity to contribute to how claims are handled in this space.
What you’ll be doing:
Review all platform related incidents, identify claims with subrogation opportunity, submit and track reportable claims
Lead or provide support on claims-related projects
Support Claims Operations Manager with initiatives and ad hoc projects
Support 24-hour Claims Operations
Identify and execute the enhancement of customer centric claims processes to ensure efficiency
Drive and track vendor performance. Assist in maintaining key vendor relationships
Drive claim related KPIs and be responsible for other areas of vendor related claims performance
Ability to work independently with Product, Operations, Incident Response, Legal, and other stakeholders to support in the ideation and development of Claim / Insurance products
Keep up-to-date on the latest claims technology and solutions in the market to generate innovative ideas and tackle challenges
Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent delivery of commitments and effective communication
Position is remote eligible, though quarterly meetings are on location in Phoenix, AZ or San Francisco, CA.
What you must have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience, with preference as an auto or general liability adjuster with complex coverage and high severity experience in a Senior Adjuster role, Subrogation, or similar capacity
Experience using data analytics to inform claims valuation and resolution strategies
Exceptional verbal, written, analytical skills with ability to interact with both insurance and non-insurance cross functional groups
Exceptional problem solving skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, flexible, and able to execute through continuous change
Working knowledge with Risk Management systems, running reports and presenting claims metrics
Experience using data and metrics to identify problem areas and drive improvements
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Google Docs, Sheets, and Powerpoint
Bonus points!
Experience working in a fast-paced Sharing Economy environment
AIC, AIC-M, CPCU or similar designation
Program and Project Management experience
Product Liability experience and fluency
International claims experience or working with international insurers and vendors
Experience building insurance products in the sharing economy space
Understanding of autonomous vehicle technology
