Job Description

The Company:

SparkCharge is a fast-growing clean-tech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption. We design, manufacture, and sell portable, Level III charging systems for EVs. We also provide “Charging-as-a-Service” (CaaS) through our mobile app “Currently”, which allows EV owners to schedule charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. SparkCharge is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Manager for our Utility and Government segment! We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of working within the EV market with sales into the utility and government segments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to showcase SparkCharge’s products and services and close deals within their segment. The position is fully in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound and outbound sale leads
  • Respond to RFPs and build relationships
  • Develop business relationships that turn into closed sales and deals
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities, evaluate sales markets and integrate our products in your area of expertise.
  • Bring creativity, intuition and a strong work ethic together to solve customer needs
  • Secure executed contracts with the targeted customer segment by leading contract negotiations
  • Form integrations with partners to provide sales avenues and inroads for our products and services
  • Work with cross-functional teams for development and planning for sales related to our products and services
  • Define and improve sales strategies and programs to increase revenue
  • Use data driven information to capitalize on leads and sales
  • Cultivate and manage go- to market strategies and efforts

Requirements

Candidates must have:

5+ years of relevant experience in EV with an understanding of how to lead and develop the business within the utilities and government sectors.

- Demonstrated success in launching new service or business lines

- A proven track record of sales within your segment expertise

- Prior experience with partnerships and closing deals

- Ability to work cross- functionally and cross-departmentally to initiate and lead

- Experience with selling products into Utilities and Government partners
