Cloud Architect

We are currently looking for an experienced, organized and motivated Cloud Architect to design, build, manage and maintain an enterprise cloud ecosystem to support our first-of-a-kind technology.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized and motivated individual.

This is a full-time remote position in the United States. 

Job Brief

In this position, you will be responsible for the Cloud infrastructure ecosystem at Twelve.  As the subject matter expert, you must be proficient in the latest cloud and hybrid technologies including public, private and hybrid cloud. Good knowledge of Multi-cloud environments such as AWS, AZURE and/or GC is preferred as well as DevOps principles and an evangelist for configuration management, services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .

The ideal candidate can create and scale technology processes to enable speed and deploy cloud workloads data in a supportable way. 

What You Will Do

• Architect, configure, manage, administer and maintain our hybrid corporate Cloud infrastructure leveraging best practice tools and services  including but not limited to Compute, Storage, Database, IaC, Source Control, Monitoring tools, Elastic Compute, Virtualization, LAMP stack and End User Computing
• Management, reporting, maintenance and regular audits of our systems
• Configure integrations with new Cloud infrastructure solutions
• Build capacity and capability in support and delivery of cloud solutions
• Serve as a tier III/level 3 escalation point for our technical  team for cloud platform issues 
• Identifies and works to resolve technical blockers. Works with Cloud provider support as needed to deploy fixes.
• Architect a secure ecosystem to host a variety of disparate enterprise solutions based on business requirements
• Designs security architectures for the hosted hardware and software components and technologies designed to protect data, workloads, and systems within cloud platforms
• Publish, contribute to technical support documentation, policies, processes and procedures for our cloud platforms
• Lead a continuous improvement cycle over enterprise cloud architecture to continually enhance and mature Twelve Cloud capabilities
• Monitor utilization reports to provide visibility to system performance, resource availability and cost management. 
• Forecast future spend as well as reconcile all invoices against our usage data

Who You Are

• You have experience implementing scalable multi-cloud architectures from the ground up 
• You utilize best practices and improve cloud hosted solutions to leverage improved solutions from public cloud vendors
• You have experience with one or more scripting languages
• Solid understanding of networking protocols TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN and routing protocols
• Ability to learn quickly and independently
• Ability to lead third parties and MSPs
• Archiving and backup in the cloud, data transfer  
• You are experienced in creating stakeholder relationships across teams in a hybrid working environment 
• You learn and adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
