You’re a key collaborator that drives excellence and innovation. You’ve managed large commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. Your background includes experience working with commercial and industrial customers and new construction projects to identify opportunities to save energy and utilizing data management tools to track program data.  

 

We welcome candidates from various diverse backgrounds. While our physical offices are in Madison, WI, and Chicago, IL, we have remote staff in many other states and welcome candidates from anywhere in the continental U.S. This role is 100% remote/virtual. 

NOTE: The salary range listed for this role is negotiable, depending upon the skills and applicable experience of the candidate selected. We will also adjust offered salary based on the market value for the position in the candidate's state of residence. 

 

What you’ll do:  

  1. Oversee and direct activities related to multiple high-dollar programs which impact the success of the programs and services offered by the organization. This means you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Assisting with the development of annual program plans, proposing and tracking goals, developing budgets, establishing operational metrics, and developing promotions and programs that are in line with the market and that will help further the reach of efficient energy-saving products in the market 

  • Utilizing your understanding of market channels to determine how best to deliver products and related services  

  • Implementing new service delivery initiatives and evaluating whether deliverables meet the stated end goal 

  • Interfacing and collaborating with other program and project managers within the organization to ensure the integration of appropriate activities and initiatives among identified market sectors 

  • Investigating new and innovative technologies to determine potential energy savings and include those technologies into program offerings as appropriate 

  • Participating in the ongoing analysis of program/services or project effectiveness throughout the life of the program or project to ensure client needs are being met. 

  • Providing training to program allies and other parties as needed 

      2. Qualify and conduct analysis of proposed energy efficiency projects. We need you to:  

  • Review energy efficiency improvement projects submitted in conjunction with incentive pre-approval requests to quantify anticipated energy savings.  

  • Communicate with end-use customers, trade allies, and other parties to collect data necessary to qualify the project and conduct technical analysis. 

  • Assist with program mission and vision, quality assurance and quality control activities, expectations, deliverables, and communications to ensure high-quality information for technology review and assessments 

    3. Participate in long-term program planning and evaluation. You’ll be asked to: 

  • Manage the evolution of the program including changes over time to ensure cost-effective delivery objectives are met. 

  • Evaluate program activities to determine applicable changes to meet program goals and objectives 

  • Work with the management of the operational areas to identify opportunities for streamlining the processing of incentive applications and to implement process improvements that increase the efficiency and processing time of incentive applications 

  • Assist Client Services staff with responses to RFP’s both for new and existing clients. 

    4. Coordinate with external parties, such as sponsors, governmental agencies, and national affiliates, on program issues and develop partnerships that benefit the program and represent Slipstream at regional and national conferences, for example American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE), Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), etc., as appropriate. 

 

What you’ll need to succeed in this role: 

  • Ability to analyze & solve inquiries/issues 

  • You can plan & organize work to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, whether autonomously or in small teams 

  • Great project management and leadership skills, including project design implementation, project facilitation, and tracking and meeting deadlines 

  • Experience with budget and contract management 

  • Ability to build relationships with teams, vendors, clients, and partners 

  • Solid verbal & written communication and report writing skills 

  • Familiarity with research plans and analytics 

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work-related experience, preferably in project management, program budget management, and sales or promotional planning 

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
