About Us

Dashboard.earth is a technology start-up working to drive citizen engagement in climate change adaptation. You will be joining us at an exciting and pivotal time. We have partnered with a leading Los Angeles foundation and other climate partners to release our MVP for testing . Our goal is to create a platform that will help engage LA residents to help the city reach its climate goals -- and ultimately expand to other cities throughout the world. You will be be working with a small, passionate, fully remote team to tackle the largest challenge of our time. This is an exciting opportunity to put a novel app into the market at a tipping point in public awareness and engagement in climate. As our CMS (Content Management System) Intern, you will report to the Director of Partnerships and play a key role in helping us manage and update content for our app. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with members of our small, passionate, fully-remote team across product, design, marketing, engineering, and partnerships. You’ll work with a skilled and experienced team and develop a comprehensive understanding of the processes necessary to bring digital products to life. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep working knowledge of our content management system (CMS) and help support input, management and QA of product content
  • Writing, editing and proofreading content.
  • Providing editorial, creative and technical support to team members
  • Tracking web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels
  • Help create internal and external-facing documentation for new product and feature releases  
  • Data entry for CMS

Required Skills/Experience

  • Current undergraduate, undergraduate degree or equivalent time gaining relevant work experience
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences in written and spoken communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance responsibilities on multiple project initiatives at once
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable taking on initiatives and delivering results without day to day management
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems.
  • Experience with social media management.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content.
  • Coursework related to climate change, behavioral change, or urban planning a plus
  • Access to your own computer and high speed internet access

Job Details

  • 5-15 hours a week
  • Minimum 6 months duration
  • 100% remote
  • $15/hour
  • US time zones only
