WasteX (www.wastex.io) is a one-stop waste valorization solution for agricultural producers in Southeast Asia. We help our clients utilize biomass waste and generate additional income while reducing carbon footprint in the process.

We are a young VC-backed climate tech startup based in Singapore.

Role

We are looking for a VP Product to work alongside the CEO in developing, implementing, and managing the company’s product strategy, development and execution. We provide on-the-ground integrated hardware and software solutions that need to be remotely accessible and linked to global markets. This is our Product. Are you ready to take charge of its direction?

We are looking for a product / engineering professional that has an equally strategic and visionary mindset and has a hands-on approach to execution. You are expected to combine 3 seemingly distinct areas - hardware, digital product and software - into a coherent solution for our clients. We are at an early stage so you will have a chance to significantly shape the product’s direction to create the most value for our clients and make the biggest impact for climate.

This role can be performed remotely (preferred location in South or East Asia - within +/- 3hrs time zone difference).

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, development and execution across hardware, digital product and software
• Work alongside the CEO to position the company as an innovator and trailblazer in the biomass waste valorization industry
• Build and manage a diverse, high-performing, remote team
• Build the culture of customer centricity and engagement

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from a top university with outstanding results
• 5-10 years of experience across a combination of software, hardware and product development
• Track record initiating and leading new products / systems design, launch and development is a must
• C-level, senior executive or leadership experience is a must; entrepreneurial or tech startup experience would be a strong plus
• Team building and management experience is a must; remote team management experience would be a strong plus
• Interest in climate tech and a sense of urgency to mitigate climate change
