Dashboard.earth is a technology start-up working to drive citizen engagement in climate change adaptation. You will be joining us at an exciting and pivotal time. We have partnered with a leading Los Angeles foundation and other climate partners to release our MVP for testing. Our goal is to create a platform that will help engage LA residents to help the city reach its climate goals -- and ultimately expand to other cities throughout the world. You will be working with a small, passionate, fully remote team to tackle the largest challenge of our time. About The Role and Our Team

As the Senior Product Designer for Dashboard.Earth, you will be responsible for the UX/UI design of the Dashboard.Earth app and the visual brand throughout all Dashboard.Earth properties. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will work closely with product, engineering, and marketing to deliver designs that bring value to residents and help Dashboard.Earth achieve its goals.  

Core Responsibilities: 

Design and production work for the app, UX prototype design and user research, and style library maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research interviews, including planning, coordination, and synthesizing findings
• Conduct usability testing sessions and evaluate quantitative data in Mixpanel to assess usability of new features
• Develop low-fidelity designs, wireframes, and process flow diagrams to communicate design concepts
• Create interactive prototypes and conduct prototype testing with users to validate potential new features
• Facilitate design ideation and review meetings
• Deliver detailed designs specs for hand-off to engineering in time for sprint kick-off
• Maintain and expand a style system library in Figma
• Review engineering work prior to release to ensure new screens meet design specs
• Provide templates as needed to help marketing and partnerships create assets that look professional and are consistent with the Dashboard.Earth brand
• Create the foundation for the design culture at Dashboard.Earth, with the potential to grow a design team over time 

Preferred skills and experience:

• At least 5 years working as a product designer in a fast-paced startup environment
• At least 2 years experience designing for a consumer-facing mobile app
• Highly proficient in Figma
• Experience managing designers or design contractors a plus
• Experience with Adobe a plus
