Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced technician to lead a team of technicians to process and execute experimental cell build requests. In this role, you will work as a part of our Technical Operations’ Build team to prioritize, schedule, and troubleshoot prototype subscale cell builds for our iron-air batteries. What you'll do:

  • Manage the subscale cell build process with responsibility for work prioritization, scheduling, and build quality
  • Develop, train, and mentor a growing team of 6-10 technicians 
  • Facilitate new prototype build processes while continuously improving existing processes 
  • Fabricate custom-built solutions for problems posed by our various R&D Cell Development teams, offering feedback and consultations on experiments
  • Recommend, as well as lead in the installation and assembly of new equipment or tools

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years working in an R&D assembly or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with cross-functional coordination in an R&D or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with electrochemical lab practices
  • Strong sense of patience and safety in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort using digital tools, ticketing systems, and experience with CAD software
